2024 Connecticut Amputee Open
Richter Park Golf Club
Danbury, CT
October 15th and 116th, 2024
Dear EAGA Members & Friends,
It’s hard to believe that summer coming to the end and Fall will be here soon. We are getting ready for the 23rd Connecticut Amputee Open. We hope that everyone is doing well. We are returning to Richter Park Golf Course in Danbury, CT. The dates for our 2024 event are Tuesday, October 15th and Wednesday, October 16th. A slight change from the Monday Columbus Day start. For those of you who were able to attend any of the previous tournaments held at this venue, I’m sure you remember Richter Park as a fine test of golf that has been ranked among the top 25 public courses in the country. The course is in great shape and the staff is once again very excited about what they have told me has been the highlight of their past seasons.
Tee times for Tuesday and Wednesday will begin at 10:00 AM with team awards following Tuesday’s round and individual awards after Wednesday’s round. We will again have an Associate Flight for our Associate members and those of you who would like to bring a friend along to play with you. Dinner and Team Awards following Tuesday’s round will be determined later. There will be lunch and awards after the Final Round at Cafe on the Green, which is located at the golf course. The hotel will continue to be the same as years past, the Holiday Inn Express located on Mill Plain Road. The Hotel Rate will be $105.00.
For those of you who may not be familiar with Danbury, it is located just over the New York State line on Interstate 84. There should be no excuse to skip this event; a great golf course, easy to get to, fine food and drink to be had and, of course, a final chance this year to golf and play with all of your friends in the EAGA. If you have any questions about the Tournament, please contact me at 203-482-2098 or at ddepaoli29@gmail.com
I’m looking forward to seeing everyone who has come in years past and meeting some new players as well. So, come to Connecticut and enjoy what we hope is becoming a tradition no one will want to miss.
Sincerely,
Doug DePaoli
